Aston Villa will be looking to maintain their good run of good form when they take on Brighton & Hove Albion away from home this evening.

Villa will face Brighton at the American Express Community Stadium in the Championship.

Steve Bruce’s side are 14th in the Championship table at the moment with 21 points from 16 matches.

The Villans, who got relegated from the Premier League at the end of last season, are only five points behind sixth-placed Leeds United, who are currently sixth in the standings and occupy the final playoff spot.

Villa have improved under new manager Bruce, who seems to be getting the best out of the players.

Meanwhile, Brighton find themselves second in the Championship table at the moment with 34 points from 16 matches.

The Seagulls are just three points behind leaders Newcastle United and are in the running for automatic promotion to the Premier League.

This is the first league meeting between the sides for 33 years, having last played each other in March 1983 in a top-flight fixture – a 0-0 draw at the Goldstone Ground, according to BBC Sport.
