Blackburn Rovers host Leeds United in the Championship this evening.
Leeds United are back in league action this evening as they travel to take on Blackburn Rovers at Ewood Park just days after being dumped out of the FA Cup by Sutton United.
Leeds will be hoping that their embarrassing FA Cup exit at the hands of non-league Sutton will spur them on in the league, with a chance to hit back tonight.
Garry Monk has made ten changes to his team tonight, with winger Stuart Dallas the only player to keep his place from that torrid defeat at Gander Green Lane.
That means that the likes of Pontus Jansson, Kyle Bartley, Liam Bridcutt, Kemar Roofe and Chris Wood all return to the side, with Pablo Hernandez, Marcus Antonsson, Souleymane Doukara and Ronaldo Vieira among the substitutes.
Deadline day signings Alfonso Pedraza and Modou Barrow weren’t signed in time to play, so will have to wait for their Leeds debuts after joining from Villarreal and Swansea City respectively.
Meanwhile, Blackburn are hoping to pull themselves away from the relegation zone, as they currently sit second bottom of the table.
Rovers are head into the game having beaten Blackpool 2-0 in the FA Cup on Saturday afternoon, but need to carry that result into tonight’s league game.
Owen Coyle’s men sold winger Ben Marshall to Wolves on deadline day, and it’s Liam Feeney and Elliott Bennett who start out wide this evening.
Sam Gallagher partners Danny Graham in attack, whilst youngsters Darragh Lenihan and Ryan Nyambe both start at the back.
New signing Lucas Joao is on the bench alongside Wes Brown, Craig Conway and Danny Guthrie, as well as youngsters Willem Tomlinson and Connor Mahoney.
