Birmingham City host Aston Villa in the Championship this afternoon as the two fierce rivals lock horns in the Second City derby once again.
The Blues have lost three of their last three games entering today’s battle, including the 2-0 defeat away at Burton Albion last weekend, and will be hoping to get back to winning ways this afternoon.
Manager Gary Rowett appears to have gone with a 4-3-3 today, with a midfield trio of Maikel Kieftenbeld, Stephen Gleeson and David Davis offering protection to the back four.
That will allow wide man Che Adams and Jacques Maghoma to support lone striker Clayton Donaldson, with Bournemouth loanee Rhoys Wiggins joining Ryan Shotton, Jonathan Spector and Michael Morrison in defence.
The bench features veteran centre back Paul Robinson, as well as a host of attacking players in Diego Fabbrini, David Cotterill, Lukas Jutkiewicz, Reece Brown and Greg Stewart, as Rowett loads his bench with firepower.
Meanwhile, Aston Villa have won two of their last three games, and will be looking for a third win under new manager Steve Bruce, who returns to St. Andrews having both players for and managed Birmingham City.
Today, Bruce also appears to have chosen a 4-3-3 system, with Ashley Westwood starting in the engine room with Mile Jedinak and Gary Gardner, whilst Jordan Ayew and Albert Adomah will start either side of lone striker Jonathan Kodjia, who is in blistering form.
Jordan Amavi starts at left back with Aly Cissokho on the bench, whilst Alan Hutton keeps his place at right back, with James Chester and Nathan Baker at centre back, protecting goalkeeper Pierluigi Gollini.
Joining Cissokho on the bench are Tommy Elphick, Aaron Tshibola, Rudy Gestede and Ross McCormack, as well as attacker Gabriel Agbonlahor, who makes the squad for the first time this season as he looks to continue his sensational record against Birmingham.
