Aston Villa will be looking to pick up all three points against Sheffield Wednesday at Villa Park in the Championship this afternoon.

Villa will head into the match against Wednesday on the back of a 2-0 victory over Rotherham United at Villa Park in the league.

Steve Bruce’s side are eighth in the Championship table at the moment with 13 points from eight matches.

The Villans are five points behind leaders Leeds United and are very much in the running for a top-two finish in the league table this season.

Meanwhile, Wednesday currently find themselves 13th in the Championship table with 11 points from eight matches.

The Owls will head into the match against the Villans on the back of a 2-1 defeat to Nottingham Forest away from home at the City Ground in the league.

The loss at the hands of the Reds will have come as a disappointment for Wednesday, who will be determined to pick up all three points this afternoon.
