Aston Villa host Preston North End in the Championship this evening.

Aston Villa starting line-up: Bunn; Elmohamady, Chester, Tuanzebe, Hutton; Bjarnason, McGinn, Hourihane, Grealish; Kodjia, Abraham.

Aston Villa substitutes: Nyland, Bree, Whelan, El Ghazi, Adomah, Bolasie, Hogan.

Preston North End starting line-up: Maxwell; Fisher, Huntington, Davies, Hughes; Pearson, Ledson; Barkhuizen, Browne, Robinson; Nmecha.

Preston North End substitutes: Rudd, Earl, Clarke, Gallagher, Johnson, Burke, Moult.

Villa head into the game having drawn 1-1 at Bristol City on Friday night, and need a win to ease the pressure on manager Steve Bruce amid calls for him to be sacked.

Bruce has made a big call tonight, as goalkeeper Orjan Nyland has been dropped to the bench in favour of Mark Bunn, with Ahmed Elmohamady, James Chester, Axel Tuanzebe and Alan Hutton across the back four.

Birkir Bjarnason, John McGinn, Conor Hourihane and Jack Grealish line up across midfield, with Jonathan Kodjia and Tammy Abraham continuing in the Villa attack.

Yannick Bolasie and Anwar El Ghazi are only on the bench, alongside Nyland, James Bree, Glenn Whelan, Albert Adomah and Scott Hogan.

Meanwhile, Preston are desperate for a win having failed to claim three points since the opening day of the season, and are leaking goals for fun right now.

Chris Maxwell starts in goal, with Darnell Fisher, Paul Huntington, Ben Davies and Andrew Hughes lining up as the back four ahead of him at Villa Park this evening.

Combative duo Ben Pearson and Ryan Ledson feature in central midfield, with ex-Villa winger Callum Robinson joining Alan Browne and Tom Barkuizen in supporting striker Lukas Nmecha.

Former Villa duo Graham Burke and Daniel Johnson are both on the bench, alongside Declan Rudd, Josh Earl, Tom Clarke, Paul Gallagher and Louis Moult.
