Villa head into the game having beaten Birmingham City 4-2 on Sunday afternoon, and manager Dean Smith has only made two changes to the side which won the Second City derby.
Glenn Whelan and Albert Adomah drop out of the squad, with John McGinn and Yannick Bolasie coming into the squad as Villa appear to be going with a 4-3-3 system.
Orjan Nyland starts in goal, and will be protected by a back four of Alan Hutton, James Chester, Axel Tuanzebe and Neil Taylor, whilst Conor Hourihane will play in holding midfield.
McGinn and Jack Grealish can go forward, whilst Jonathan Kodjia and Bolasie will support lone striker Tammy Abraham from wide areas.
Scott Hogan is named on the bench, alongside Mark Bunn, Ahmed Elmohamady, Glenn Whelan, Callum O’Hare, Anwar El Ghazi and Jake Doyle-Hayes.
Meanwhile, visitors Forest start with Costel Pantilimon in goal, and a four-man defence of Tendayi Darikwa, Michael Dawson, Tobias Figueiredo and Jack Robinson.
Jack Colback and Claudio Yacob will sit in midfield, allowing Matty Cash, Joao Carvalho and Joe Lolley to get forward and support ex-Villa forward Lewis Grabban in attack.
New signing Karim Ansarifard is on the bench, alongside Luke Steele, Adlene Guedioura, Ben Osborn, Saidy Janko, Gil Dias and Michael Hefele.
