Leeds United travel to take on Aston Villa in the Championship this evening…

Aston Villa battle Leeds United for the second time this month as the two sides meet at Villa Park just weeks after Leeds ran out 2-0 winners against Steve Bruce’s men at Elland Road.

Villa head into tonight’s game having beaten Burton Albion 2-1 on Boxing Day, but manager Steve Bruce has made three changes to his side this evening.

Gary Gardner, Albert Adomah and former Leeds striker Ross McCormack all dropped from the starting line-up, allowing Ashley Westwood, Jack Grealish and Jordan Ayew to come in.

The likes of James Chester, Jordan Amavi, Mile Jedinak, Leandro Bacuna and Jonathan Kodjia all start for Villa, whilst there are places on the bench for Tommy Elphick, Gabriel Agbonlahor and linked-away attacker Rudy Gestede, along with Gardner, Adomah and McCormack.

Meanwhile, Leeds have won eight of their last ten Championship games, and beat Preston North End 4-1 on Boxing Day to keep their good run going.

Garry Monk’s men look almost unstoppable right now, and there is just one change to the side that beat Preston, as defender Liam Cooper comes in for the injured Kyle Bartley.

That means that Gaetano Berardi continues at left back, with Liam Bridcutt and Kalvin Phillips protecting the back four, allowing Stuart Dallas, Kemar Roofe and Hadi Sacko to support Souleymane Doukara in attack.

Monk has attacking options like Pablo Hernandez, Chris Wood and Marcus Antonsson on the bench, along with youngsters Ronaldo Vieira and Tyler Denton, as well as out of favour midfielder Alex Mowatt.
