Here is how Aston Villa and Manchester United will line-up for this afternoon’s match:

Subs: Steer, Bacuna, Weimann, Bowery, Gardner, Tonev, Kozak
Manchester United starting XI: De Gea, Rafael, Jones, Evans, Evra, Valencia, Cleverley, Giggs, Januzaj, Rooney, Welbeck
Subs: Lindegaard, Fabio, Ferdinand, Young, Buttner, Fletcher, Zaha
Regardless of their European exploits, Manchester United are in trouble. But it is trouble they can successfully navigate their way out of if they string a series of victories together.
Seasoned observers expected them to win their last two, but in fact the complete opposite happened, with both Everton and Newcastle United leaving Old Trafford with all three points.
Both sides had appalling records at the home of the current champions, and Villa have just as poor a record when entertaining United. But given how other teams have broken unwanted hoodoos in recent weeks, there is no reason Paul Lambert’s men cannot do the same.
Villa have won just one of their last 35 league matches against United, while the Manchester club’s last defeat at Villa Park came on that infamous opening day of the 1995-1996 season.
Moyes is without Robin van Persie for the next month, while Fabian Delph is suspended for Villa.
What do you think the result will be this afternoon?
