Confirmed: Arteta makes Marquinhos decision as Arsenal v Brighton lineups emerge

Arsenal starting XI: Hein; Cedric, Saliba, Holding, Tierney; Elneny; Marquinhos, Vieira, Lokonga, Nelson; Nketiah.

Arsenal substitutes: Turner, White, Gabriel, Zinchenko, Partey, Xhaka, Ødegaard, Martinelli, Jesus.

Brighton and Hove Albion starting XI: Steele; Veltman, Dunk, Colwill; Lamptey, Gilmour, Caicedo, March; Sarmiento, Welbeck, Enciso.

Brighton and Hove Albion substitutes: Sanchez, Webster, Gross, Undav, Mitoma, Ferguson, Estupinan, Turns, Moran.

Arsenal have given a chance to Karl Hein tonight as he lines up in goal against Brighton and Hove Albion.

Mikel Arteta then goes with a back four for tonight’s Carabao Cup clash as Cedric Soares, William Saliba, Rob Holding and Kieran Tierney all start.

Mohamed Elneny will then protect the four with Albert Sambi Lokonga and Fabio Vieira further ahead in midfield.

Eddie Nketiah leads the line tonight with Reiss Nelson and Marquinhos coming in from wide areas.

Gabriel Jesus only makes the bench tonight, joining Matt Turner, Ben White, Gabriel Magalhaes, Oleksandr Zinchenko, Thomas Partey, Granit Xhaka, Martin Ødegaard and Gabriel Martinelli.

Brighton have Jason Steele between the sticks and it’s a back three ahead of him as Joel Veltman, Lewis Dunk and Levi Colwill start.

Tariq Lamptey and Solly March are the wing backs with Billy Gilmour and Moises Caicedo in midfield.

Former Arsenal striker Danny Welbeck starts and will be supported by youngsters Jeremy Sarmiento and Julio Enciso.

Robert Sanchez, Adam Webster, Pascal Gross, Deniz Undav, Kaoru Mitoma, Evan Ferguson, Pervis Estupinan, Ed Turns and Andrew Moran make up the Brighton bench tonight.
