Arsene Wenger is likely to make several changes to his team for this evening’s match against Southampton as the Gunners look to capitalise on a 3-0 win away at Aston Villa in the Premier League.
It will be interesting to see just how seriously the side take the competition this season but it’s a great chance for younger players to impress their boss and a chance for more established players to try and work their way back into the first team.
Ronald Koeman deserves big credit for the way he’s guided the Saints to a successful start to the season after a summer, which saw several first team players leave for new clubs and new adventures.
The Saints have momentum and currently sit second in the Premier League behind Chelsea.
Koeman is also likely to make changes to his team but the same principles apply and it’s a good chance for players who don’t normally get a chance to play to prove what they can do against a very good side.
