Here are the sides Arsenal and Newcastle have gone with for the game at the Emirates this evening, kick-off at 20:00 GMT.
Arsenal: Szczesny, Sagna, Mertesacker, Koscielny, Monreal, Arteta, Ramsey, Ozil, Cazorla, Podolski, Giroud
Subs: Fabianski, Jenkinson, Vermaelen, Kallstrom, Flamini, Rosicky, Sanogo
Newcastle United: Krul, Debuchy, Williamson, Coloccini, Dummett, Gosling, Anita, Tiote, Gouffran, Sissoko, Remy
Subs: Elliot, Haidara, Yanga-Mbiwa, S Taylor, Obertan, Armstrong, Shola Ameobi
Arsenal go into this game knowing that a win will put them four points behind Manchester City, increasing their chances of holding off Everton in the race for fourth place.
Arsene Wenger will be extremely confident that his side can get a result and he’ll rely on the Gunners decent attacking play and defence, which has conceded fewer goals than Liverpool who currently top the division.
Arsenal are on a decent run which has seen them secure back-to-back wins since they claimed their place in the FA Cup final against Hull City.
A win for Newcastle would take them to within touching distance of Southampton a place above them.
The main problem this season for Newcastle has been conceding goals; they’ve conceded more than any other side in the top 14 and only four teams have conceded more goals this season, which is something Alan Pardew won’t be happy with.
