Confirmed Arsenal v Crystal Palace lineups: Tierney starts, Saka on the bench

Arsenal host Crystal Palace in the Premier League today.

Arsenal line up with Bernd Leno in goal, but hand a first Premier League start to left back Kieran Tierney following his summer move from Celtic.

Tierney joins Calum Chambers, David Luiz and Sokratis Papastathopoulos in the Arsenal back line, with Granit Xhaka and Matteo Guendouzi ahead of them.

Dani Ceballos features as the number 10, with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Nicolas Pepe flanking Alexandre Lacazette up top.

That means that Bukayo Saka has been dropped to the bench, alongside Emiliano Martinez, Rob Holding, Sead Kolasinac, Hector Bellerin, Lucas Torreira and Gabriel Martinelli.

Meanwhile, Palace are still without goalkeeper Vicente Guaita, which means Wayne Hennessey continues between the sticks.

Joel Ward, James Tomkins, Gary Cahill and Patrick van Aanholt line up in the back four this afternoon, protecting Hennessey against a dangerous attack.

Cheikhou Kouyate and Luka Milivojevic start in midfield, with James McArthur and Andros Townsend supporting Jordan Ayew and Wilfried Zaha in attack.

That means that Jeffrey Schlupp and Christian Benteke are only on the bench, alongside Stephen Henderson, Martin Kelly, Scott Dann, James McCarthy and Max Meyer.
