Arsenal take on Chelsea in the Community Shield this afternoon.

The Premier League season is almost upon us once again, and the Community Shield sees last season’s league champions and FA Cup winners go head to head.

Arsene Wenger’s Arsenal side beat Chelsea to win the FA Cup back in May, and they meet again at Wembley Stadium this afternoon.

Petr Cech starts in goal, with Wenger going for a back three of Rob Holding, Per Mertesacker and Nacho Monreal, whilst Hector Bellerin and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain feature at wing back.

Granit Xhaka partners Mohamed Elneny in the middle of the park, whilst Danny Welbeck and Alex Iwoi will support lone striker Alexandre Lacazette.

Olivier Giroud and Theo Walcott are only named on the bench, alongside David Ospina, Reiss Nelson, Ainsley Maitland-Niles, Joe Willock and new signing Sead Kolasinac.

That means that Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil both miss out, with Aaron Ramsey also unavailable for the Gunners.

Meanwhile, Chelsea line up with Thibaut Courtois in goal, and a back three of Cesar Azpilicueta, David Luiz and Gary Cahill in front of him.

Victor Moses and Marcos Alonso start in the wing back positions, with N’Golo Kante and former Arsenal ace Cesc Fabregas starting in midfield.

Pedro starts despite his pre-season injury, and joins Willian in supporting lone striker Michy Batshuayi.

Alvaro Morata is only on the bench, joining Andreas Christiansen, Antonio Rudiger, Willy Caballero, Charly Musonda, Jeremie Boga and Kyle Scott.
