Confirmed Arsenal v Aston Villa lineups: Saka starts, Trezeguet returns

Arsenal host Aston Villa in the Premier League this afternoon.

Arsenal make a number of changes from the side that beat Eintracht Frankfurt in the Europa League on Thursday night, starting with Bernd Leno’s return in goal.

Ainsley Maitland-Niles, Sokratis Papastathopoulos, David Luiz and Sead Kolasinac line up as the back four, with Granit Xhaka and Matteo Guendouzi ahead of them.

Dani Ceballos will be relied on for creativity, but there is a start for teenager Bukayo Saka after a superb showing on Thursday, joining Nicolas Pepe and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang in attack.

Mesut Ozil is only on the bench, alongside Calum Chambers, Emiliano Martinez, Gabriel Martinelli, Lucas Torreira, Reiss Nelson and Joe Willock.

Meanwhile, Villa stick with Tom Heaton in goal, and the now-familiar back four of Frederic Guilbert, Bjorn Engels, Tyrone Mings and Neil Taylor.

Marvelous Nakamba keeps his place in holding midfield, with John McGinn and Jack Grealish ahead of him, whilst Trezeguet returns out wide after his suspension.

He’s joined by Anwar El Ghazi and Wesley in attack, as Jota is dropped to the bench following the 0-0 draw with West Ham United.

Jed Steer, Ezri Konsa, Ahmed Elmohamady, Conor Hourihane, Henri Lansbury and Keinan Davis round out the bench for Dean Smith’s side.
