Arsenal visit Anfield in an effort to reach the next round of the League Cup.

Unai Emery, Manager of Arsenal reacts during the Premier League match between Arsenal FC and Crystal Palace at Emirates Stadium on October 27, 2019 in London, United Kingdom.

Unai Emery has named his team to face Liverpool tonight in the fourth round of the League Cup, as per the club’s official Twitter account.

The full match squad is as follows:

Starting XI – Martinez, Bellerin, Holding, Mustafi, Kolasinac, Torreira, Willock, Maitland-Niles, Ozil, Saka, Martinelli.

Substitutes – Macey, Sokratis, Tierney, Guendouzi, Ceballos, Pepe, Lacazette.

It’s been a dramatic week for the Gunners following Sunday’s 2-2 draw at home to Crystal Palace in the English Premier League.

A reaction from Granit Xhaka in response to jeers from Arsenal supporters has dominated headlines for days, adding pressure on to the shoulders of both Emery and his squad.

Tonight’s task is difficult too, travelling to Anfield to face what will admittedly be a much rotated Jurgen Klopp side.

Nonetheless, Emery knows another defeat would ramp up the amount of questions being asked about the future direction of the club.

The Spaniard has gone for a much changed side himself compared to Sunday’s match.

The headline news is Mesut Ozil returning to the side for the first time in over a month. His last appearance came against Nottingham Forest in this competition.

Exciting youngster Gabriel Martinelli is also one of the players returning to the first-team. The attacker has scored five goals in six appearances for the senior side this season and will be hoping to find the back of the net again tonight.

Elsewhere there are starts for Hector Bellerin, Bukayo Saka, Lucas Torreira and Sead Kolasinac, all of whom were on the bench for Sunday’s match.

It’s set to be an exciting night of attacking football at Anfield, who will come out on top?
