Takehiro Tomiyasu is available for Arsenal tonight.

Gunners manager Mikel Arteta has named the impressive Japan international in his starting lineup for the visit of Liverpool.

Arsenal are potentially 90 minutes away from the League Cup final and it wouldn’t be a major surprise if the North Londoners beat Jurgen Klopp’s outfit tonight.

In the first leg at Anfield, the Londoners were forced to play with 10 men for 65 minutes following an early red card for Granit Xhaka.

But Arsenal still escaped with a heroic 0-0 draw despite the numerical disadvantage.

Tomiyasu sat out last week’s stalemate on Merseyside but has been passed fit to face the Reds this evening.

Likewise, Martin Odegaard, who missed the first leg through a positive covid test, has returned to midfield, as has Emile Smith Rowe.

Smith Rowe looks set to start in a slightly deeper midfield role alongside Albert Sambi Lokonga, with Arsenal down to the bare bones regarding midfield options.

Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Martinelli and Odegaard will support lone striker Alexandre Lacazette, while Mika Biereth, the 18-year-old striker who joined Arteta’s side last summer from Fulham, has been named on the bench.

Arsenal XI: Ramsale; Tomiyasu, White, Gabriel, Tierney; Lokonga, Smith Rowe, Odegaard; Martinelli, Saka, Lacazette

Liverpol XI: Kelleher; Alexander-Arnold, Matip, Van DIjk, Robertson; Fabinho, Henderson, Jones, Gordon; Jota, Firmino
