Mauricio Pochettino has admitted that his run with PSG in the Champions League with PSG is completely different to his time with Tottenham Hotspur, in an interview with BT Sport.
Pochettino guided Tottenham to the Champions League final in 2019, after a Lucas Moura hat-trick against Ajax put them up against Liverpool.
Unfortunately for Spurs and Pochettino his side could not get over the line in Madrid, and that result ended up as the begging of the end for the Argentine in North London.
Pochettino seemingly found it tough to recover from the disappointment of failing to win Europe’s biggest prize with his Tottenham side.
He was sacked midway through the next season, and now has turned up at PSG.
Pochettino now has a big chance to win the Champions League again, as PSG progressed to the semi-finals with a win over Bayern Munich last night on aggregate.
But the Argentine boss feels that this time around things are very different, from when he achieved the same feat with Tottenham.

“They were very close last season playing the final, but it was completely different Champions League we were living before when we arrived with Tottenham against Liverpool, it was completely different,” he said.
“Of course, Paris is a team where the people are dreaming about the Champions League. But to win the Champions League is not the only dream, PSG in the last 10 years is dominant completely in domestic competition.
“In this situation after more than one year we are living in a very difficult time in life, in football it’s the same.”
Tottenham are now just dreaming of playing in the Champions League, as they have been unable to do so since Pochettino departed.
Jose Mourinho hasn’t taken the strides forward at Spurs that many expected, and that has left them struggling to make it back into Europe’s elite competition.
Tottenham are currently six points away from the top four, with time running out for them to breach the gap this season.
