Reported Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur target Arkadiusz Milik is the ‘complete number nine’ and shares a lot of similarities with Karim Benzema, former Serie A ace Marco Borriello has told Tuttosport.
While the long-serving Real Madrid striker might not always get the respect he deserves, overshadowed by the perennially prolific Robert Lewandowski, Luis Suarez and Sergio Aguero, anyone who shares a pitch with Benzema will tell you that he is the best around.
The former France international does not have a remarkable goalscoring record, but he is the sort of player who elevates the performances of all those around him, opening up spaces for his grateful team-mates and laying on assists at a reliable rate.
And Borriello, the former Milan, Roma and Italy striker, believes that a fully-fit Milik could be moulded into the second coming of Benzema if he avoids any more long-term injuries.
“Milik is a complete nine and, if he hadn’t suffered those bad injuries, he would be one of the strongest strikers (in Italy) with (Gonzalo) Higuain and (Edin) Dzeko,” Borriello says, suggesting that a move to Juventus could see Milik forge a stunning partnership with Cristiano Ronaldo.

“Arek is not only a man who scores from the penalty area, he is one of the centre-forward who can score with shots from outside the box.
“For CR7, he could be a bit like what Benzema was in the days of Real Madrid.”
The £40 million-rated Milik could be on the move this summer, with Napoli director Cristiano Guintoli telling Sky that he will be sold if he does not extend a contract which is due to expire in 12 months’ time.
Arsenal and Tottenham are both looking for attacking reinforcements and, according to CalcioNews24 in April, Milik would fit the bill.
