Liverpool and Wolves have been handed fresh hope in their pursuit of Milot Rashica, with RB Leipzig director Markus Krosche laughing off claims that his side have agreed a deal with the Werder Bremen winger, in quotes reported by Deich Stube.

With everything up in the air right now, do not expect to see many transfers signed, sealed and delivered in the weeks ahead. After all, most clubs don’t even know how much money will be left in their transfer budget by the time to put pen to paper arrives.

So while Rashica is all-but certain to leave a Bremen side who are staring relegation in the face, with a £33 million release clause in his contract, it seems that BILD were a little premature when they claimed that a move to Leipzig had been agreed.

“It is complete nonsense that you can already make concrete arrangements in the current situation,” director Krosche said when asked whether there was any truth in the reports that the Kosovan was heading to the Red Bull Arena.

You can guarantee that Krosche’s rather blunt admission will not go unnoticed at the likes of Anfield, St Mary’s or Molineux.

A whole host of Premier League clubs have been linked with a barrel-chested forward in the Alexis Sanchez mould, including Liverpool and Southampton (Weser Kurier).

The Mirror claimed that Aston Villa were leading the chase not so long ago, although Dean Smith’s chances of signing a potential Jack Grealish replacement surely rely soley on whether survival can be secured.

Since then, Wolves and West Ham have been mentioned as potential destinations too via Der Spiegel.

There is still a chance that Rashica brings his match-winning ways to Leipzig. But, for now, he is still very much on the market.
