Speaking on BT Sport’s YouTube channel, Aaron Ramsdale has named Mohamed Elneny as the most competitive player in Arsenal training.
The Gunners have a number of top trainers at the club who set incredibly high standards.
The likes of Kieran Tierney and Emile Smith Rowe have been named as the best trainers at Arsenal by their teammates, and according to Ramsdale, Elneny is the most competitive player at London Colney.
Indeed, the goalkeeper says that the Egyptian often gets annoyed when things aren’t going his way on the training ground, stating that the midfielder often calls him a cheat when he beats him at a game of Teqball.

Elneny is competitive
Ramsdale spoke about his Arsenal teammate.
“Who is the most likely to become over competitive in training?” Ramsdale was asked.
“Mohamed Elneny. We play Teqball together and I beat him eight times out of 10 and everyday he says ‘No you didn’t win, you’re a cheat’. He’s competitive and a liar, I’ll give him that yeah,” Ramsdale said.
Good attitude
While it is funny to hear that Elneny will throw a bit of a tantrum when he loses a game of Teqball to Ramsdale, the fact that he is so competitive is a positive.
This is exactly the type of attitude a footballer needs to have in all aspects of life. They need to want to be the best of the best in every area of their lives.
That’s how a winning mentality is bred, and while Elneny may go over the top a little bit in training, this sort of attitude is why Elneny remains a key component of the Arsenal squad. He’s always striving for perfection and always trying to win.
