Danny Gabbidon has taken to Twitter to give his reaction to Tottenham Hotspur’s reported interest in Swansea City central defender Joe Rodon.

According to The Daily Mail, Tottenham are interested in signing Rodon from Swansea in the summer transfer window.

It has been claimed that Spurs have made a bid of £7 million, but the Championship club are looking for as much as £18 million in transfer fees for the 22-year-old Wales international.

Former Cardiff City and Wales international defender Gabbidon believes that Swansea should ask for a total of £36 million for the youngster.

Joe Rodon Stats

Rodon has played four times in the Championship for Swansea so far this season, according to WhoScored.

During the 2019-20 campaign, the Wales international central defender made 20 starts and one substitute appearance in the Championship for the Swans, providing one assist in the process, according to WhoScored.

Back in 2018-19, Rodon made 23 starts and four substitute appearances in the league for the Welsh club, according to WhoScored.

Rodon is a very promising young defender who would be a good signing for Spurs, not just for now, but in the long run as well.
