Ashley Young got one over on Dele Alli on Saturday as his Manchester United side secured a 1-0 win over Tottenham Hotspur at Old Trafford.

Young and Alli enjoyed a hard-fought tussle during the title showdown as the Red Devils player tried to wind up the sometimes tempestuous Spurs midfielder.

This video appears to show Young saying “when you win the Prem, let me know” to Alli, who has yet to lift any major silverware during his Tottenham career.

While winning the Premier League title, the EFL Cup, the FA Cup and Europa League at United, Young, now 32, has seemingly forgotten where he was at Alli’s tender age.

Upon turning 21 in April, the Tottenham star had scored 26 Premier League goals, won 17 England caps and been crowned PFA Young Player of the Year twice.

He had also been voted into a PFA Team of the Year by his peers three seasons in a row.

In comparison, Young had yet to play in the top flight, or be called up by any England youth team.

The winger had scored 13 goals for Watford to help them to promotion to the Premier League via the playoffs in 2006, a year after going through the entire Championship season without scoring a goal in 34 appearances.

Young has filled up his trophy cabinet since then, although he started only 17 league games in United’s 2012-13 title triumph, and played a combined 18 minutes in the three cup-winning finals.

Alli might have had to bite his tongue this weekend, but his career is well on track for him to have the last laugh.
