Leeds are reportedly looking to sign Ibai Gomez.

Gomez played under Marcelo Bielsa at Athletic Bilbao and could be a shrewd addition for the Whites, especially as he is out of contract at the end of the season.
Gomez’ quality is underlined by Transfermarkt‘s nearest player comparison, which names Birmingham City’s Jota as the player he is most similar to.

Jota was Birmingham’s record signing in 2017 for a fee upwards of £6 million.
He is a player Leeds fans were desperate to sign at the time he was sold by Brentford.
This season his quality is underlined by his five assists and one goal already for Garry Monk’s side.
Jota may not be for sale, and if he is, likely too expensive for Leeds.
Instead signing Gomez is the next best thing.
Bagging him on a free transfer would be a piece of outstanding business.
If Leeds are determined to sign him in January it will require a small fee, and it will be less than the money Birmingham paid for Jota.
It would be an injection of quality into the side which is well worth paying for.
