Ally McCoist has questioned what teams have to do this to get a penalty against Celtic, as he claimed that it’s the ‘burning question of Scottish football’ right now, as he told talkSPORT (04/11/21 at 7:25 am).

The Rangers legend couldn’t help but aim a jibe at Celtic and claimed that the Bhoys are ‘committing GBH’ inside the penalty area and ‘getting away with it’, in regards to penalties now being awarded against them.

Forget about the opposition, Celtic themselves will be kicking themselves because they missed a crucial spot-kick in stoppage time over the weekend.

Giorgos Giakoumakis was the man who was denied against Livingston, as questions were asked as to why he was the one stepping up during that moment.

It ended up proving to be costly because they ended up dropping valuable points and only had to settle for a goalless draw.

Nonetheless, this is what McCoist had to say about the opposition not getting penalties against Celtic, with talkSPORT host and Bhoys-mad, Alan Brazil issuing a response.

“The burning question in Scottish football right now is what do you have to do to get a penalty against Celtic,” asked McCoist.

“I mean seriously, in all seriousness. You are committing GBH in your own box and getting away with it.

“I mean what is going on with you lot?”

Brazil responded by saying: “I am not getting involved. Not getting involved! There is a big game coming at Parkhead soon, so I’m not getting involved.”

Given McCoist’s comments, cue a penalty now being awarded during the next Old Firm derby.

But before the duo can lock horns in the New Year, there is a lot of football to be played and that four-point gap can and might just be a lot different.

There’s also the small matter of European football, which will also play its part, with Ange’s boys currently in Hungary where they take on Ferencvaros.
