Speaking in his pre-match press conference, Jurgen Klopp has been waxing-lyrical about Mohamed Salah and how committed he is to Liverpool.

There have been plenty of rumours about Salah looking for a way out of Liverpool in recent months, but the Egyptian’s celebration on Sunday after Alisson’s goal seemed to suggest he’s just as in love with Liverpool as he’s ever been.

Understandably, Klopp was asked about Salah’s celebration in his press conference ahead of the Burnley game, and he said that the winger’s commitment to the club had never been in doubt.

“Yeah, I’m not sure why that’s a question because you sound like you’re surprised. I’m not. When he scored the fourth goal against Man United and closed that game nobody was as fast as him so nobody could be as close as we were together and I could see his face and his determination as well. For me it is hard to answer these questions, I don’t feel these things. We are together every day and I know how committed Mo is to this club, so I don’t need a goal celebration to show it. For me it is a logical thing that we celebrate goals like this because he is working his socks off ever since he was here,” Klopp said.

This is probably exactly what every Liverpool fan wants to hear.

It seemed like a genuine possibility that Salah could have been on his way this summer, and while that still may be the case, Klopp’s comments here are certainly re-assuring.

The Egyptian’s celebration said it all at the weekend, but it seems as though Klopp sees that sort of determination in training every single day.

Salah certainly does work his socks off for Liverpool.
