Tottenham Hotspur have arguably done better business than any other Premier League club this summer.

Spurs have signed six players during the transfer window, only paying money for three of them so far.

Richarlison, Yves Bissouma and Djed Spence joined the Lilywhites for over £100 million, but Ivan Perisic and Fraser Forster joined on free transfers, with Clement Lenglet signing on a season-long loan from Barcelona.

Tottenham have got a hell of a lot of value out of the window thus far and, with one month left in the window, further business wouldn’t be a major shock.

Antonio Conte led the North Londoners to a fourth-placed finish in the Premier League last term and, with it, brought about a return of Champions League football.

And ESPN commentator Ian Darke believes that the Italian will go one better this time around, securing a third-placed finish.

In a graphic on ESPN’s YouTube channel, Darke had Tottenham third come the end of the season.

There’s a lot of people who feel that Spurs could be dark horses this term.

Conte was reliant on Son Heung-min and Harry Kane last season, so when they didn’t perform well or score, neither did Tottenham.

But the £60 million addition of Richarlison should, in theory, lighten the goalscoring burden on those two and with Ivan Perisic having joined, along with Dejan Kulusevski still on loan from Juventus, there should be a lot more creativity, too.

Conte’s side take on Roma in a friendly on Saturday and then host Southampton in their Premier League opener a week later.
