Some West Ham United supporters are anticipating a January move for a Sheffield United player.
West Ham were one of the clubs credited with an interest in the Blades midfielder John Lundstram in the summer transfer window, by The Star.
But Lundstram remained at Bramall Lane, where he is well into the final year of his contract.
Despite having stalled on Sheffield United’s offer of renewal, the 26-year-old has continued to feature regularly for Chris Wilder’s team, albeit not quite to the same high standards he set last season.

But the Blades will now reluctantly listen to offers for Lundstram, with whom Burnley, Crystal Palace, Brighton & Hove Albion and Rangers have been linked as well as West Ham, after a further failed attempt to get him to sign, according to The Star.
And after the news started doing the rounds on Twitter earlier, the following West Ham fans responded…
West Ham are currently short of experienced options in Lundstram’s position, beyond Declan Rice, Mark Noble and Tomas Soucek, having allowed Carlos Sanchez, Jack Wilshere and Josh Cullen depart in the summer.
