Leeds’ Elland Road ground
Comedian Jon Richardson has sent a strong message to his beloved Leeds United on Twitter.
Richardson – of 8 Out of 10 Cats fame – is a well known supporter of the Whites despite being born on the dark side of the Pennines in Lancaster.
However, the 34-year-old will not be renewing his Elland Road season ticket ahead of Saturday’s deadline – unless the club grants his somewhat reasonable request.
“Get Garry Monk signed up and I’ll do it right now,” he posted in response to Leeds’ official Twitter account.
Richardson is set to be left disappointed, however, with Monk explaining in Thursday’s press conference that his future as Whites boss will not be discussed until after Sunday’s season finale at Wigan Athletic.
Monk led the Yorkshire side to the brink of a play-off place in his first campaign in office, contradicting pre-season expectations.

The 38-year-old only agreed to a rolling one-year contract, however, and several Championship sides including Norwich City have been credited with an interest in hiring him ahead of next term.
Will Monk be at Leeds United come August?
