Comedian and Middlesbrough fan Bob Mortimer has expressed his deep regret at the club selling Adama Traore to Wolves.
Wolves signed Traore from the Championship side for a fee which will total £18 million.
Traore impressed at Middlesbrough last season after signing from Aston Villa in a swap deal with Albert Adomah.
Mortimer described Traore’s exit as ‘sad’ and described him as a generational talent.
The comments are certainly encouraging for Wolves fans who hope the club can help Traore fulfil his potential.
He was highly rated at Barcelona as a youngster before making the surprise switch to Aston Villa.
