While the England squad have been working at St George’s Park, Sky Sports grabbed a chat with Crystal Palace duo Marc Guèhi and Conor Gallagher.

The pair – who are close friends – seemed in good spirits, as Guèhi gave an interesting answer when asked what advice he gives Gallagher.

What’s the story?

Well, the 21-year-old centre-back is captain of the England Under-21 side, and has also captained Crystal Palace in recent weeks.

Guèhi is a leader, and Gallagher clearly knows that as the defender revealed his 22-year-old pal sometimes asks for advice.

When quizzed on what he advises the on-loan Chelsea wonderkid to do, Guèhi gave an answer Crystal Palace fans will love.

“Come to Palace.”

You can see footage of the interview below.

Now, Everton and Newcastle won’t like hearing that.

According to TEAMtalk, the Toffees are keen to sign Gallagher, while it was the Daily Mail who claimed Newcastle are eyeing him.

The Sun believe Chelsea value the England international at £50m.

Conor Gallagher must ignore Everton, Chelsea and Newcastle to stay at Crystal Palace

In our view, Gallagher would be crazy to move elsewhere with the World Cup on the horizon.

The unique tournament – which is due to take place in Qatar this November, rather than the summer – is not far away, and if the Chelsea prodigy finds himself stuck on the bench away from Selhurst Park, he will seriously harm his chances of making the squad.

As things stand, Gallagher is one of the best midfielders in the Premier League in his role under Patrick Vieira, scoring eight goals while also providing five assists this term.

Should he re-join the Eagles – on a permanent deal, or another loan – you would expect him to be selected by Gareth Southgate if he keeps his fine form up.

It’s all set up for Gallagher to thrive at Crystal Palace, whereas a step into the unknown this summer could prove costly.
