Liverpool fans have urged Patson Daka to come and join them, after his latest tweet.

Daka was celebrating his Austrian Player of the Year award from Sky Sports on social media, when he was greeted with numerous messages from Liverpool fans telling him to come to Anfield.

Zam Foot reported this week that Jurgen Klopp’s side want to land the rapid Red Bull Salzburg attacker, who is valued at £25 million, heading into the summer transfer window.

And many Liverpool fans appear to be keen to convince the goalscorer that Merseyside would be a good move for him.

The need for attacking additions

Liverpool may well want to strengthen their forward line this summer, as they haven’t functioned at their best over the past campaign.

Both Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane’s goalscoring form slipped over the past season, which has led to claims that Liverpool’s attack needs a freshen up.

Daka would certainly give them that, as he is considered one of the most promising young striking talents in Europe.

Daka blasted home 34 goals in Austria last term, as Salzburg clinched the league title.

Of course, the challenge of scoring with such regularity in the Premier League would be much greater.

But Daka does have pace to burn and is a clinical finisher, and the feeling is he is ready to step up into one of Europe’s major leagues now.
