Some Liverpool fans are responding to Jude Bellingham’s latest post on Twitter.

The 18-year-old midfielder helped Borussia Dortmund to a 1-0 win over Sporting Lisbon in the Champions League last night, setting up the winning goal in the first half.

In doing so, Bellingham, who is linked with a move to Liverpool, also made his 100th competitive appearance as a footballer which, considering his age, is quite an achievement.

According to The Star, the Reds are leading the race to sign the £100 million-rated sensation [EuroSport].

Here’s how some Liverpool fans responded to his tweet:

Could Liverpool sign him?

Well, they certainly need new midfielders.

Liverpool lost Georginio Wijnaldum on a Bosman this past summer and didn’t replace him.

And with Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Naby Keita being unreliable in terms of fitness – and the latter now linked with a move away – then it seems logical for Michael Edwards to add another midfield star to the squad, irrespective of Harvey Elliott and Curtis Jones’s emergence.

However, it would undeniably take a club-record bid to prise the kid from Dortmund, with the Reds’ £75 million purchase of Virgil van Dijk in 2018 the most that they’ve spent on a player at the moment.
