Arsenal winger Nicolas Pepe has sent a message to Nuno Tavares on Instagram after the full-back joined Nottingham Forest on the final day of the summer transfer window.

Nottingham Forest signed Nuno Tavares on loan from Premier League rivals Arsenal.

Tavares is scheduled to stay at the City Ground until next summer.

The 23-year-old full-back has taken to Instagram to express his delight at making the loan switch.

And Nicolas Pepe seems pleased to see Tavares make the move to Forest.

Pepe, who spent last season on loan at Nice from Arsenal, is still at the Emirates Stadium.

It made sense for Nuno Tavares to leave Arsenal.

The 23-year-old full-back has failed to make a huge impact at the Gunners.

The Portuguese youngster was on loan at Marseille from Arsenal last season.

Tavares is a good player, but he is very young and is not very consistent.

It was always going to be hard for the £8 million (BBC Sport) player to be a success at Arsenal, especially given the players that manager Mikel Arteta has at his disposal to play at full-back.

Tavares has made 28 appearances for Arsenal since his move in 2021.

Nottingham Forest are a big club and are in the Premier League.

Tavares could be a success at the City Ground.

It will be interesting to see if the 23-year-old is able to make himself a regular in Steve Cooper’s team in the coming weeks and months.
