Jack Wilshere has taken to Twitter to defend Jack Grealish, after Gary Neville named his XI for England’s clash with Germany.
What’s the story?
With just days to go until Tuesday’s mouthwatering EURO 2020 clash, Neville hopped onto Twitter to share his preferred XI.
Surprisingly, the Sky Sports pundit decided not to start either Grealish or Phil Foden, something that Wilshere picked up on.
The ex-Arsenal maestro said at least one of the duo has to start, before opting for Grealish due to his ball retention and dribbling skills.
You can see Wilshere’s tweet below.
We agree with the 29-year-old – Grealish simply has to start this huge last 16 clash after his display against the Czech Republic.
Gareth Southgate has nobody like him

Yes, Foden is a ball carrier, as is Mason Mount, but England simply don’t have anyone like Grealish – he can cause Germany major problems.
The 25-year-old Aston Villa captain gets on the ball time and time again, while always making good use of possession.
Grealish is also incredible at winning freekicks, which could be vital after Germany struggled aerially against Hungary.

The powerful Ádám Szalai netted an excellent header in Wednesday’s 2-2 draw, while proving to be a nuisance aerially throughout the game.
If Grealish keeps winning set-pieces in dangerous areas, then perhaps Harry Maguire and John Stones can replicate Szalai’s heroics.
Simply put, Grealish has to start.
