Bryan Gil has expressed his delight on Instagram after he earned his ‘first minutes of the season’ during Tottenham’s 6-3 win over Team K League in their first game of pre-season.

Both Heung-min Son and Harry Kane netted twice, as Spurs hit the all-star team for six in Seoul, South Korea, with Gil featuring.

This is a big summer for Gil because he wasn’t part of the Spurs squad that secured Champions League football under Antonio Conte last season.

After struggling for the first six months, the Spanish winger was loaned out to Valencia in January, where he impressed during his return to Liga.

Now it seems as though Conte wants to have a look at the player in pre-season and he wants to see what he can produce on the big stage.

Well, after earning his first set of minutes ahead of the new Premier League season, this is what Gil posted to fans on his social media account.

GIL DESERVES HIS CHANCE UNDER CONTE

If Tottenham loan Gil out again, then it’s not a good sign regarding the player they purchased last summer because eventually, he has to be given a regular run.

With the north London club in the Champions League, the games are going to come thick and fast, especially highly-pressured matches.

That surely opens the door for someone like Gil to earn those minutes under Conte, who is known to help elevate the careers of players.

At this young age, Gil needs that push, and with the 2022 World Cup around the corner, he will also be aiming to add to the four caps he already has for Spain.
