A number of Arsenal fans were left feeling sorry for Aaron Ramsey on Tuesday after his Juventus side got knocked out of the Champions League by Porto.
The 30-year-old started the encounter for the Old Lady and played 75 minutes for Andreas Pirlo’s men, but the Arsenal fans felt that he deserved more minutes and better compared to what his team delivered.
It’s been nearly two years since Ramsey swapped England’s top-flight for Italy’s, but a selection of fans wouldn’t mind seeing him return to the Emirates.
Whilst Ramsey’s game time was limited under Juventus’ previous coach, Maurizio Sarri, it has increased under Pirlo’s stewardship.
With Thomas Partey in midfield, Arsenal could do with another forward-thinking midfield player who is tidy in possession and would compliment what they have.
Someone to basically replace Granit Xhaka!
But that ship, of Ramsey returning, has sailed, as some Arsenal supporters felt that the Welshman was doing well for Juve before he was hooked off and they fell to a shock defeat.
Even though Porto were down to ten men inside the first five minutes of the second half, they held on until extra-time to cause an upset.
