Gabby Agbonlahor has urged Gini Wijnaldum to ‘come back’ to Liverpool, as he told talkSPORT.

The former Premier League striker thinks Liverpool ‘haven’t replaced’ the 31-year-old in the middle of the park.

In the summer, Wijnaldum parted ways with the Reds when his contract expired on Merseyside and he opted to sign for PSG.

Despite moving to a club that wins the French title with ease and have a number of stellar names on their books, including Lionel Messi, Kylian Mbappe and Neymar.

The Holland international has found life tough on the other side and there has even been talk about him possibly making a return to the Premier League, with several English sides keen on his talents, as reported by 90 Min.

Following Liverpool’s 1-0 defeat at Leicester City on Tuesday, Agbonlahor thinks a player like Wijnaldum is missed in their side.

“They haven’t replaced Wijnaldum,” said Agbonlahor. “They need someone like him, to get on the ball and make things happen.

“Would they have him back? Come back. It’s going to cost you £100k-a-week, but come back.”

There’s no way that Liverpool will now bring Wijnaldum back because it seems as though that ship has sailed.

But with some English sides showing an interest in the technically-gifted midfielder, it wouldn’t be a surprise to see him come back to the Premier League next month.

Wijnaldum donned the colours of Newcastle prior to joining Liverpool and their big pockets could do with a player like him in their team.

It’s just a case of whether Wijnaldum is absolutely adamant in wanting to leave PSG, or whether he is willing to fight it out in France for another six months in the hope that his fortunes change.
