Jose Enrique is all for Liverpool possibly signing Kylian Mbappe.
The Paris Saint-Germain marksman has been tenatively linked with a move to Liverpool in recent months.
According to Le10 Sport in April, the 21-year-old Frenchman is ‘flattered’ by the speculation linking him with a switch to Anfield.
And Mbappe reinforced that himself in an interview with The Mirror on Tuesday, describing Jurgen Klopp’s side – who are the reigning European champions and boast a 25-point lead at the top of the Premier League table – as a ‘machine’.
And the club’s former left-back has written on Twitter that the young sensation should join Klopp’s revolution on Merseyside.
Is it going to happen? At the moment, definitely not.
Mbappe is worth well over £200 million – possibly more – and with the global health crisis wreacking havoc on a lot of clubs’ finances recently, a world record move just isn’t going to happen right now.
And if we’re honest, if Liverpool can conquer Europe and England without Mbappe then it must be asked whether they even need him.
