Bacary Sagna, Jan Vertonghen, Mesut Ozil all feature plus more.
Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur share one of the bitterest rivals in global football.
The two North London teams don’t like each other and make no secret of the fact they enjoy the misfortune of players on either side.
However, which players from each side would make the grade of a combined xi has to be drawn up?
Here’s our attempt.
GK – Hugo Lloris
Lloris is a perfectly competent goalkeeper. What makes him ideal to have in the side is that he’s always looking for ways to take the pressure off of his defence.
RB – Bacary Sagna
The Frenchman has been one of the best right-backs in the Premier League this season. He’s effective at both ends of the pitch.
CB – Per Mertesacker
For any of the faults in Mertesacker’s game, he knows how to handle them to get the most out of his performance. He’s an extremely experienced player to have in the back four.
CB – Laurent Koscielny
The Frenchman has formed one of the best defensive partnerships in European football next to Mertesacker so he gets into the team.
LB – Jan Vertonghen
We know the Belgian isn’t a happy bunny playing at left-back but it’s the only way we can get him into the side.
RM – Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain
The Ox is the perfect player to have over on the right hand side. He injects pace and real drive into Arsenal and England.
DM – Mathieu Flamini
Flamini is in the side to protect the back four. He’s at his best when he’s tasked with doing nothing other than making it difficult for the opposition to play.
CM – Santi Cazorla
The Spaniard would take up one of the central midfield positions. He can cover multiple positions in attack.
AM – Mesut Ozil
For all the recent criticism of Ozil’s game, he would get into the eleven. He is a special player who can make things happen in a second.
LM – Christian Eriksen
The Dane has played well in his first season in English football. He controls the ball well out on the left and also provides a real threat coming into the middle.
ST – Emmanuel Adebayor
The former Arsenal man edges out Olivier Giroud because of his recent form; 11 goals since December 18.
