Liverpool fans praised Youri Tielemans’s performance during Leicester City’s 4-2 win against Manchester United on Saturday.

Hours after Liverpool demolished Watford at Vicarage Road, their so-called Premier League title rivals were being run ragged in the Midlands at the hands of their former manager, Brendan Rodgers.

One of the stars of the show was Tielemans and Liverpool fans were impressed by what they saw from the £35 million player (Sky Sports).

The Belgian equalised for the Foxes, after Mason Greenwood’s stunning opener, and he then ran the show by showcasing his speed of movement and thinking with the ball, forward-thinking nature and ability to find space at will.

Tielemans has less than two-years left on his contract at the King Power and he stated that he is ‘keeping his options open’ in regards to extending that contract, as he told Sky Sports.

There are suggestions that a number of Premier League clubs are looking to sign the quick-thinking player, including Liverpool, with Jurgen Klopp a big fan of his talents, as reported by the Telegraph.

Liverpool parted ways with Gini Wijnaldum in the summer and opted against bringing in a fresh face to the club.

Klopp does have bodies in the middle of the park, with Fabinho and Jordan Henderson being the regulars for the German.

Added with that, Curtis Jones, along with Harvey Elliott, are the rising youngsters, whilst there is the experienced and trophy-laded Thiago who, if he can stay out of the treatment room, can showcase his magic.

But aside from those players, the likes of Naby Kieta and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain are trying to find consistency, both in minutes, form and remaining injury-free.

Liverpool fans feel that someone like Tielemans is needed in their team and his all-round abilities would suit Klopp’s system.

The Belgium international is a number eight, more attack-minded, and someone who can control a game at his speed.

Those talents would be welcome on Merseyside and it will be interesting to see how things pan out for him, especially if his contract talks continue to drag on.

Here is a selection of Liverpool fans reacting to Tielemans’s display from the weekend:
