The Premier League legend spoke after Poch masterminded Spurs’ passage to the Champions League semi-finals at Manchester City’s expense.

Premier League legend Stan Collymore has piled the praise on Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino after Wednesday night’s glorious Champions League triumph over Manchester City.
Although Spurs lost 4-3 on the night at the Etihad Stadium, they progressed on away goals at the end of an enthralling game which included an injury-time Raheem Sterling goal – which would have put City through – ruled out by VAR for offside.
Tottenham managed to overcome Pep Guardiola’s side despite the absence of the talismanic Harry Kane, on top of no Eric Dier, Harry Winks and Erik Lamela, and also Moussa Sissoko going off early with a knock.
It goes without saying that Pochettino has truly transformed Spurs since his arrival in North London in 2014, and Collymore was eager to pay homage to the Argentine on his Twitter feed at full time:
A number of Tottenham fans responded to the retired striker’s comments:
Tottenham’s reward for knocking Man City out is a semi-final tie against Ajax, but before then they can seek to derail another of Guardiola’s trophy missions as they face the Citizens in the Premier League in Saturday’s early kickoff.
