Leeds United are impressing under their new manager after a shaky start.

Former footballer turned pundit Stan Collymore has given his thoughts on Leeds United boss Garry Monk on his official Twitter account.
The former striker used Leeds as an example of what Aston Villa could become if they are not careful; which unsurprisingly prompted responses from Whites fans.

Writing on his Twitter account, Collymore replied to a fan reminding him how well Leeds are doing right now with the following message: “Because finally they got an excellent young football man involved who wants to wash away the stench of Mickey Mouse ownership.”
Giving Monk the thumbs up, Collymore clearly rates the former Swansea City boss, and that is no surprise considering he appears to have ridden out the storm at Elland Road to get his side playing – and winning – his way.

Leeds’ 2-1 victory against Barnsley at the weekend sees them up to 11th in the Championship table, just four points outside the play-off places with plenty of football still to be played.
Leeds will know they have big challenges ahead, but they are finally showing signs of progress and for all Collymore’s criticism of the club’s owner, the club itself could be set for a welcome renaissance…and not before time.
