Collin Morikawa and Justin Thomas are both upbeat after experiencing positive weeks at the Travelers Championship.
Morikawa will likely be the happier of the two, having finished on 20-under at TPC River Highlands, just one shot off the champion.
It was Viktor Hovland who won the tournament, defeating Scottie Scheffler in a playoff after the pair finished on 21-under.
Morikawa has now taken to social media to summarize his time in the latest PGA Tour event, with his fellow American Thomas doing the same after finishing in a tie for 14th.

Collin Morikawa and Justin Thomas post messages after the Travelers Championship
Morikawa posted on his Instagram after his final round of the Travelers Championship: “Sunday 61s, don’t mind if I do.
“One shot short but we’ll chalk this one up as some positive momentum heading into [The Open Championship].
And Thomas posted on his Instagram: “Don’t let my permanent resting uncomfortable face fool you…
“The [Travelers Championship] never disappoints.
“Such a great event.
“Time for a much-needed week off before I head across the pond for my favorite style of golf… links golf.”
He then tagged the Genesis Scottish Open and The Open Championship ahead of his impending appearances at the two tournaments.
Thomas carded rounds of 68, 66, 65 and 67 to finish on 14-under in Connecticut, while Morikawa posted scores of 69, 66, 64 and 61.
Collin Morikawa and Justin Thomas continue to impress despite back issues
Incidentally, Morikawa and Thomas have been impressing this season despite issues with their backs.
Morikawa is still battling his way to full fitness because of his issue, while Thomas’ start to the season was delayed after undergoing surgery on his back late last year.
The former has claimed one PGA Tour win in 2026 at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, while the latter has yet to triumph.
Both two-time major winners, they finished in a tie for 17th at last week’s US Open, and will soon turn their focus to The Open.
The fourth and final major of the season returns next month, and will take place at Royal Birkdale in England.
