Fabrizio Romano has reported on Twitter that Tottenham Hotspur winger Bryan Gil will not leave for Valencia on the final day of the summer transfer window.
The well-known and well-respected journalist has claimed that Valencia’s deal to sign Gil from Premier League club Tottenham has now collapsed.
Romano has added that Valencia will sign Justin Kluivert from AS Roma, which means that Los Che will not sign another winger.
Bryan Gil from Tottenham Hotspur to Valencia is off
What now for Gil?
It will be interesting to see what happens with Bryan Gil now that he is not moving to Valencia from Tottenham.
The winger, who moved to Tottenham from Sevilla in the summer of 2021 for £21.6 million (Sky Sports), does not seem to be in the plans of Tottenham Hotspur head coach Antonio Conte for the time being.
It would make sense for Spurs to find another club for the winger to go on loan to for this season.
There is no point in Gil staying at Tottenham and not getting any playing time.
It would not help his development at all.
The 21-year-old was on loan at Valencia during the second half of last season and did well for Los Che.
Gil made nine starts and four substitute appearances in La Liga for Los Che during his loan spell.
