Joe Garner has scored three goals for Ibrox side Glasgow Rangers so far.
Colin Stein has told the Daily Record that Joe Garner can become the focal point of Glasgow Rangers’ side if Mark Warburton shows some faith in the striker.
Garner was brought to Rangers from Preston North End last summer, but he has not become an established starter at Ibrox yet.
Garner has scored just three goals in his first 14 Rangers appearances, but Beagrie has seen enough to suggest that the 28-year-old can be a success in Glasgow.
“I firmly believe Joe Garner can go on and become the focal point of the team,” Stein said. “He fights for the team and for someone who’s not all that tall he is very strong in the air.
“He might be taking a wee bit of time to settle at Rangers but any striker worth their salt will score goals for the club.
“He is more than a pest, he possesses loads of ability and his workrate is fantastic. Scoring goals does a striker’s confidence levels the world of good and I’m convinced that Garner will score goals.
“It’s time he was given an extended run in the first team.”
Garner was the most expensive of Rangers’ signings last summer, but he is one of a number of new additions to struggle to hit the ground running at Ibrox.
Many of Rangers’ recruits from the previous transfer window, have found it difficult over the first few months of the campaign.
As a result, Rangers are already eight points behind Celtic and sit in second place in the Scottish Premiership table.
Rangers are next in action at the weekend when they take on Hearts, in what looks set to be a tough test.
