Mark Warburton’s Ibrox side Glasgow Rangers have a fine player in Josh Windass, it seems.

Rangers legend Colin Stein has told The Daily Record that he likes the look of summer signing Josh Windass so far.
The 22-year-old officially joined up with Rangers in the summer after he and former Accrington team-mate Matt Crooks signed pre-contract agreements last January.
And the young midfielder has already looked a fine acquisition by manager Mark Warburton, with Windass’s performance in the 5-1 defeat by Celtic in September being perhaps the only positive on an otherwise disastrous day for the Gers.

The Englishman has, however, been hindered by injury for much of his early spell at Ibrox so far, limiting to five of the club’s 11 Scottish Premiership outings.
And Stein has revealed to The Record that he hopes Windass – who bagged two assists in Saturday’s 3-0 win over Kilmarnock, including a fine pass for Lee Wallace – can stay fit and show Rangers what he is really capable of.

“I liked the look of Windass. He was the only one to shine in the Celtic game. He’s got great energy levels and the ball he played to Wallace on Saturday was absolutely brilliant.
“He can split defences. It was a shame he picked up a hamstring injury after the first Celtic game, but hopefully he can stay fit.”
Rangers are second in the Premiership, nine points behind high-flying Celtic, who have won 28 points from a possible 30 so far this season.
