Glasgow Rangers boss Mark Warburton has brought nine players to Ibrox – is Joleon Lescott going to be the 10th?

Colin Cameron has told The Daily Record that Rangers hitman Kenny Miller can help convince Aston Villa defender Joleon Lescott to join the Ibrox club.
Speculation is rife that the Aston Villa man will become Rangers’ 10th signing of the summer (reported by BBC Sport) after Gers boss Mark Warburton reportedly flew to England to meet with the 34-year-old centre-back.
The former Manchester City man – a Premier League champion in 2012 – has not featured in any of Villa’s three Championship games this season and it would appear as if manager Roberto Di Matteo is not planning to use him.

Lescott began his career with Wolverhampton Wanderers, where he played alongside Rangers marksman Miller for five years.
And Cameron suggests that the pair have remained close from their time together at Molineux, and says the 36-year-old striker can sell his former team-mate on what life is like at the Scottish giants.

“He is still very good friends with Kenny Miller. Kenny was at Wolves at the same time as us and they were pretty close pals,” he told The Record.
“I’m assuming they are still close and Kenny will be telling him all about Rangers and what they are trying to achieve under Mark Warburton.”
Rangers are not short on centre-halves and have already signed two this summer in Clint Hill and Matt Crooks, who compete with Rob Kiernan and Danny Wilson from last season.
