The Aston Villa star has been in superb form of late.

Aston Villa assistant manager Colin Calderwood spoke exclusively to the club’s official website, in the aftermath of his side’s vitally important win over bitter rivals Birmingham City yesterday, and raved about the quality of Jack Grealish, labelling the youngster’s performance against the Blues as ‘excellent’.
The 22-year-old has had his problems during his fledgling career thus far, but has really risen to prominence over this past month, showcasing a newly-found level of maturity, to go along with his undoubted ability.
Grealish was superb against Birmingham yesterday, dictating the tempo of the play from the middle of the park, and proving to be a key figure in his side’s 2-0 victory.

The Villans now sit in second spot in the Championship table, and are in a great position to earn promotion back to the Premier League after their two year hiatus from the top flight.
If they are to go up this season, Grealish will likely have a huge role to play, and will have to maintain his superb form.
Calderwood spoke to the club’s official website yesterday, and offered high words of praise for the 22-year-old:

“He was excellent again. He’s got himself to a level of performance and maintained that. You could see how tired he was when he came off – he’s got great quality and guile. He was a major influence in our attacking moments.”
Next up for Villa is a trip to Fulham in the Championship on Saturday, and they will fancy their chances of making it eight consecutive wins in the league.
