Everton have the fourth best defensive record this campaign, and Seamus Coleman attributes this to a change in mentality from last season.

In form right back Seamus Coleman has praised Everton’s defence after his side drew 0-0 away at the Riverside.
The result was the Toffee’s fourth clean sheet in six games and the Irish international has attributed this record to the high demands of manager Ronald Koeman.
Speaking to Evertontv he said ‘‘I think this is where we have shown ourselves to be a lot better this season.”
‘‘The manager is demanding a lot from us and the players are demanding a lot from each other, which is great.’’
Koeman was also keen to laud his side’s defensive achievements when speaking to Evertontv: “A clean sheet is really positive – every one means at least one point and we usually create.”
Both comments could be interpreted as a subtle reply to ex manager Roberto Martinez, who had previously asked questions of his former club while appearing on Sky Sports Goals on Sunday on February 5.
Joel Robles has been an instrumental part of this defence. His recent form has seen him firmly cement a place as first choice keeper ahead of Martin Stekelenburg.
Everton have now conceded twenty-seven goals in twenty-five games. This impressive record includes a 5-0 thrashing at Stamford Bridge.
Only three teams in the Premier League have conceded less this campaign.
Everton are currently on a winter break training week in Dubai. Up next for Ronald Koeman’s team is a struggling Sunderland, who visit on the 25th February.
