Arsenal and Chelsea are worlds apart in the Premier League.
Even though Chelsea’s last major trophy was the European Cup and Arsenal haven’t got a trophy of that magnitude in their cabinet, there is still night and day between the two.
That was proven with their overall Premier League performances last season and when Mikel Arteta’s side thrashed their rivals at the Emirates.
But Darren Bent was asked which three Chelsea players he would take at Arsenal if he had a choice, as he included a surprising name.
Cole Palmer is the obvious one everyone would take because he isn’t just Chelsea’s best player, but probably the best in the Premier League.
The England international, who came through Manchester City’s academy, is three games in and he already has four assists to his name.
The injury-prone Reece James was also picked as a right-back option, with the marmite-like figure Ben White playing on the right side for Arsenal.
You can understand the Palmer pick and even James because, as Bent alluded to, if he is fit and firing then ‘I am taking him’.
But even though the Premier League title chasers have so many players who can play at left-back, including new Arsenal signing Riccardo Calafiori.
Bent stated that he would happily take Spain Euro 2024 winner Marc Cucurella to the Emirates and he explained he has got ‘better’, as he told talkSPORT (03/09/24 at 5:45 pm).
Cole Palmer, Reece James and Marc Cucurella at Arsenal
“I am taking Cole Palmer first,” said Bent. “I am taking Cucurella. I like Cucurella. He was getting better at the back end of last season.
“And probably the last one, I would take Reece James, if he is fit. I am taking him.”

Chelsea and Arsenal’s squad
Given the amount of money Chelsea have spent, you would think they have the better squad, but you would rather be in Arsenal’s situation.
There is no doubt that those at Stamford Bridge have the depth, it’s just a case of bringing all of it together and adding stability.

Too much change at the club is causing havoc and if Chelsea don’t get their act together soon, then they will be watching Arsenal lift the Premier League title.
Saying that, you can’t argue that Arteta hasn’t been backed, because he has, and he has to deliver some silverware sooner rather than later.
